Basic Information:

Please note that membership to our club is subject to approval by the Board. We are only able to accept active/retired military and DoD ID card holders based on availability. Before filling out an application, it is important to read our CB&L. If needed, you can tour the facility to ensure that it is a good fit for you and your horse. Please keep in mind that we do not offer assistance with trailering and we do not intake horses on arrival without the owner present.

Our facility offers a variety of features including trails, duplex style barns with large paddocks (based on availability), single barns with large paddocks (based on availability), and tack/feed rooms in every barn. We also have two turnout pastures, a large outdoor arena (300' x 150'), a quarantine stall, and 24-hour access to the stable. However, please note that we do not have electricity or sewer.

Regarding fees, monthly membership fees are due each month and may be subject to change with approval from the WSC Board of Directors. All members are required to pay an annual maintenance fee (due on February 1st each year) in addition to their monthly boarding fees. Members are also responsible for all financial and sweat equity costs to maintain, repair, and improve their barn. This includes buying their own hay, grain, shavings, etc., paying their own vet and farrier bills, and any other costs associated with owning a horse and being a member of our club. Members are responsible for dropping off their own feed. We do not offer feeding services. This is what keeps our fees so low and affordable to our Active Duty Families and Veterans. 

Paddocks must be cleaned every other day, with manure taken to the muck pile and more than 35 gallons of clean water per horse. Additionally, proof of current general liability insurance must be on file with WSC at all times. All members are required to attend mandatory monthly workdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the first Saturday of the month, followed by a membership meeting, (members may attend online or in person). Finally, please note that vaccinations required for permanent stabling at WSC include Eastern and Western Encephalomyelitis and Tetanus (annually/ yearly), and Rhinopneumonitis & Equine Influenza (semi-annually/ every 6 months).
